Há muitos equipamentos que ajudam na vida dos cicloviajantes, desde eletrônicos até vestimentas, alguns deles menos importantes ou dispensáveis. Levamos bastantes coisas conosco, que muitas vezes deixariam cicloturistas mais minimalistas aterrorizados, porém gostamos de um pouco mais de conforto e facilidades que muitas de nossas bugigangas nos trazem. There are a lot of equipments that make the cycle tourist life easier, from electronics to clothing, some of them less important or expendable. We carry a lot of things with us, which would often make the minimalist cycle tourist terrified, but we like a little more comfort and facilities that many of our trinkets bring to us.

Na nossa opinião, itens indispensáveis para um cicloturista “mais guerreiro”  são poucos, como a bicicleta, água, comida, uma troca de roupa, uma barraca simples ou uma rede, um isolante e algumas ferramentas para reparar a bike. In our opinion, indispensable items for a “more warrior” cyclist are few, such as a bicycle, water, food, a pair of clothes, a simple tent or a hammock, an insulation and some tools to repair the bike.

Na seção sobre nossos equipamentos, descrevemos melhor os itens de CAMPING, ROUPAS e ELETRÔNICOS que levamos conosco, porém aqui nesta página iremos falar sobre alguns itens totalmente dispensáveis, mas que podem facilitar a vida do viajante. In the section about our equipment, we describe better the items of CAMPING, CLOTHING and ELECTRONICS that we take with us, however here in this page we will talk about some totally expendable items, but that can facilitate the life of the traveler.

Carregador solar / solar charger:

Hoje em dia é fácil encontra tomadas em todos os lugares para carregar seus equipamentos eletrônicos, mas com a evolução na eficiência dos pequenos paineis solares, estes carregadores so tornaram leves e compactos, ocupando pouco lugar na bagagem e podendo ser utilizados em qualquer ambiente com sol, principalmente em campings selvagens, onde não há rede elétrica. Nowadays it is easy to find eletric outlets everywhere to load your electronic equipment, but with the evolution in the efficiency of small solar panels, these chargers have become lightweight and compact, occupying little space in the luggage and they can be used in any sunny environment, especially during wild camping, where there is no electricity.

 

 

Cubo dínamo / Dynamo hub:

Diferentemente dos antigos dínamos que atritavam nos pneus, gastando a borracha, aumentando o arraste e fazendo aquele “barulho de carrinho de fricção”, os modernos cubos dínamos tem um arraste imperceptivel, sem ruídos, com bom selamento, durabilidade e eficência. Em conjunto com faróis acabam com a preocupação em ficar sem iluminação porque acabou a pilha. Unlike the old dynamos that rubbed on the tires, wearing the rubber, increasing the drag and making that “cart friction noise”, the modern dynamo hubs have an imperceptible drag, no noise, good sealing, durability and efficiency. Together with headlights they end up the worrying about running out of light because the battery is over.

 

Isolante auto-inflável / Auto inflatable pads:

A diferença em conforto e compactação em relação aos tradicionais isolantes de EVA é evidente. Tem a desvantagem de furar, mas nada que um pouco de cuidado e alguns remendos não resolvam. Uma boa noite de sono é sempre bem vinda. The difference in comfort and compactness compared to traditional EVA insulation is evident. It has the disadvantage of  punctures, but nothing that a bit of care and some patches do not solve. A good night’s sleep is always welcome.

 

 

 

Liners:

Sacos de dormir são chatos de lavar ou limpar. Os liners servem para manter os sacos de dormir limpos e com menos “cheirinho” por dentro, além de ampliar levemente a capacidade de aquecimento. São pequenos e leves, ocupando pouco espaço nos alforges. Durante climas mais quentes podem ser utilizados separadamente, mantendo os sacos de dormir guardados. Sleeping bags are hard to wash or clean. The liners serve to keep sleeping bags clean and with less “smelling” inside, as well as slightly increasing the warming capacity. They are small and light, taking up little space in the panniers. During warmer climates can be used separately, keeping the sleeping bags stored.

 

 

A “pazinha” / Camping shovel:

Na hora do “toalete” é possível cavar aquele buraquinho com pedaços de madeira, com a mão, com uma colher, mas uma pequena pá facilita as coisas neste momento. Hoje em dia as pás de camping são feitas em material plástico bem resistente e leve, muitas delas dobráveis. At the time of the “toilet” it is possible to dig that little hole with pieces of wood, with the hand, with a spoon, but a small shovel makes things easier at this moment. Nowadays the camping shovels are made of very sturdy and lightweight plastic material, many of them foldable.

 

 

Canivete multifunções / Multi Function switchblade:

Os talheres são mais eficientes quando usados em separado, mas outras funções presentes nesses canivetes cheio de ferramentas são muito legais, como saca rolhas, lixas e uma pequena tesoura, que podem ser muito úteis em alguns momentos. Tomar aquele vinhozinho numa noite fria num camping, sem precisar abrir com uma chave de fenda ou faca e fazer aquela lambança é bom. Cutlery is more efficient when used separately, but other functions present in these pocketknives full of tools are very cool, such as corkscrews, sander and a small scissors, which can be very useful at times. Drinking that wine on a cold night at a camp site, without opening it with a screwdriver or a knife and doing that mess is good.

 

Smartphones, tablets e netbooks:

Para quem gosta de se manter conectado ou administra algum BLOG, são ferramentas que facilitam as coisas . Ainda com a vantagem de acesso a mapas, roteiros e pedidos de hospedagem solidária como Warmshowers ou Couchsurfing. For those who like to stay connected or manage some BLOG, they are tools that make things easier. Still with the advantage of access to maps, itineraries and applications of lodging solidarity like Warmshowers or Couchsurfing.

 

Abraçadeiras – “enforca gato” / Plastic clamps:

Este item ajuda e muito, pois apesar de dispensáveis, já utilizamos estas abraçadeiras para consertar e fazer todos os tipos de gambiarras, sendo uma das coisas mais úteis que existem, na nossa opinião. São leves, versáteis e vem em diversos tamanhos e cores, além de serem bem resistentes.  This item helps a lot, because although dispensable, we already used these clamps to repair and make all kinds of DIY, being one of the most useful things that exists, in our opinion. They are lightweight, versatile and come in various sizes and colors, and are very sturdy.

 

Há ainda diversos outros ítens que já vimos viajantes carregando por aí, e que são dispensáveis porém muito úteis ou simplesmente legais. Estes que descrevemos foram alguns que lembramos e levamos conosco. There are several other items that we have already seen travelers carrying around, which are dispensable but very useful or simply cool. These we have described are some that we remember and that we take with us.
