Como iremos passar em inúmeros países que apresentam culturas e línguas diferentes e não temos o domínio de todas elas, tomamos algumas precauções: As we will go through countless countries that have different cultures and languages ​​and we do not speak almost all of these languages, we take some precautions:

Primeiramente aprimorar nosso Inglês: Pois o Inglês é uma língua utilizada em diversos países e assim poderíamos utiliza-la como base em nossas comunicações. O Thiago já apresentava fluência em Inglês, e eu já tinha o curso de Inglês, porém resolvi me matricular na Escola Speed Up Idiomas da cidade de Jales para aprimorar meu Inglês com as aulas Vips, onde a Teacher Lúcia Jacomassi me aturou por um ano e meio. Muito Obrigada Teacher!!! Firstly, we improved our English: Because the english language is more widespread and we could use it as a basis in our communications. Thiago already had fluency in English, and I ´ve already done an English course, but I decided to improve it attending Speed ​​Up language school in the city of Jales , where the teacher Lúcia Jacomassi helped me for a year and a half. Também nos atentamos ao espanhol, língua muito falada nos países que cercam o Brasil. We also tried some spanish, a language widely spoken in the countries surrounding Brazil.

O Thiago ainda por apresentar descendência libanesa, quando pequeno aprendeu um pouco de árabe com seus avós, o que pode nos ajudar ocalsionalmente em alguns países do Oriente Médio.  Thiago has lebanese origins, learning some arabic with his grandparents when young, which may help us in some middle eastern countries.

Entretanto ainda tem muitos países que não falam nenhuma dessas línguas, e por isso nós tomamos algumas providências para nos ajudar na comunicação: However, there are many countries that do not speak any of these languages, and so we have taken some steps to help us communicate:

Imprimimos em 27 línguas o seguinte texto em um pequeno cartão plastificado: We print small waterproof cards with the following text in 27 languages

Nós estamos viajando de bicicleta pelo mundo. we are cycling around the world. 

Nós procuramos um lugar seguro para passar a noite. we look for a safe place to spend the nigth. 

Se houver um lugar seguro para colocarmos nossa barraca, nós agradecemos de coração. If there is a safe place to put our tent, we thank you from the heart.

Além disso nós elaboramos um caderninho com figuras ilustrativas de possíveis coisas que precisaríamos como um chuveiro para tomar banho, um local com rede WiFi, locais como correio, bombeiro, supermercado, posto de gasolina e ainda de comidas que gostaríamos de comprar e de ferramentas e acessórios de bicicleta. In addition, we made a notebook with illustrative pictures of possible things we would need like a shower, a place with a WiFi network, places like mail, fire department, supermarket, gas station and also food we would like to buy and tools and bicycle accessories.

Mas mesmo se tudo isso não der certo voltamos ao nosso modo preferido de nos comunicar quando não sabemos a língua local, o ‘mimiques” 😀 . But even if all this fails, we return to our preferred way of communicating when we do not know the local language, mimics 😀 .
